Not getting paid minimum wage in California
If you live in the state of California, you should be being paid at least $8.00 per hour. This is the minimum wage in California and it is illegal for an employer to pay you below that amount. If you are being paid a lower amount because you are a female or because you are pregnant, then you are the subject of discrimination according the state of California. Employers are not allowed to discriminate against an employee just because of her sex or if she becomes pregnant.
